Landscapes, seascapes, and cityscapes take shape in this Appalachian Bands performance, evoked by pieces such as Niagara Falls by Michael Daugherty, Hands Across the Sea and El Capitan by John Philip Sousa, Dancing Fire by Kevin Day, River of Grass by Kevin Wilt, and The Impossible Dream from Man of La Mancha by Mitch Leigh. The concert features oboist Stephanie Goehring, Appalachian Wind Ensemble Concerto Competition Winner, and Jack Wilhelm, bass voice. The ASB is directed by Dr. Jason Gardner and the AWE is directed by Dr. John Stanley Ross.
