The Appalachian Concert Band ends the semester with music of parties, commemorations, and celebrations of favorite places, people, and pets. The concert includes works such as “Caribana Afterparty” by Omar Thomas, “Alligator Alley” by Michael Daugherty (featuring Dr. David Wells and the Appalachian Bassoon Ensemble), “The Pathfinder of Panama” by John Phillip Sousa, “Our Cast Aways” by Julie Giroux, and “My Dark-Haired Maid” by Percy Grainger. The ASB is led by music directors and conductors Ms. Marin Kimpton and Mr. Jake H. Miller.
