32nd Annual Holiday Scholarship Concert

RESCHEDULED for Monday, Dec. 2

  • App State’s Boone campus is under special conditions on Friday, Nov. 22 due to winter weather.
  • Ticket holders, your tickets are valid for the new date without any action needed from you.
  • Live-streaming and children’s gifts are planned for the rescheduled date.
  • If you need a ticket, learn more and reserve yours while tickets remain! Reserve a Free Ticket – available only through this link and the Schaefer Center box office.

Tickets are FREE!

At a time that our community is recovering from the effects of Hurricane Helene, the Hayes School of Music is grateful to be able to offer free admission to the Holiday Scholarship Concert as a gift to our community. This is made possible by anonymous donors whose generous gifts have helped the school raise the amount we projected to collect for scholarships this year through further ticket sales. With this support, the Hayes School of Music can continue to offer meaningful scholarships and we can invite all to attend free of charge.

A FREE ticket is required. Reserve yours below! Please note that seating is General Admission (NOT reserved seating), so ticket holders who prefer specific seats or areas are encouraged to arrive early. There is no charge to park at the time of the concert, but allowing extra time for parking is recommended.

Reserve Your Free Ticket – available HERE and at the Schaefer Center box office.

Gifts will be handed out to children under 12

Following the performance, the Hayes School of Music will offer a gift for children (12 and younger) who are in attendance. We hope the spirit of the gift will help usher in the holiday season, extend our appreciation to those who served our community during Hurricane Helene, and lift those who experienced loss. Children can visit our ushers with their families to receive a surprise wrapped gift (gifts are tagged with a suggested age range).

Watch the concert online

The concert will be live-streamed and available to watch during the live performance only. Stream the concert at music.appstate.edu/performances.

Donate to the Scholarship Fund

We gratefully continue to accept donations to the scholarship fund. Donations and ticket sales from the Holiday Scholarship Concert support Hayes School of Music students – and the more we raise, the more we can offer in scholarships.

Through the generosity of our audience and sponsors, over $300,000 has been raised over the years, all of which goes directly to our students! If you are interested in donating, please visit givenow.appstate.edu/HolidayConcert or contact Melinda Friddell (828-262-8692, friddellmf@appstate.edu).

About the Concert

Almost every student in the Hayes School of Music is engaged in the concert through festive performances by many of our ensembles. This Holiday Scholarship Concert is planned to include performances by… [There is a chance that some performances may change due to the rescheduling.]
