About the Artists
Grammy award winner Dan Zanes and Haitian-American jazz vocalist / music therapist Claudia Zanes have joined forces with up-and-coming gospel singer Tyree Austin to create a soulful new sound in family music.
The Dan + Claudia Zanes with Tyree Austin show is a social music celebration, a front row seat to a front porch dream. Their concerts are highly interactive experiences for people of all ages, parties in which the sounds of 12-string guitar, flute, trombone, saxophone, beatboxing, and percussion blend together to support and uplift the main event: vocal harmonies!
These performances feature old and new songs from Dan + Claudia’s Smithsonian Folkways records as well as beloved classics from the Dan Zanes and Friends deep catalog. Whether it’s singing along, dancing, or just letting the music relax the mind, when Dan + Claudia and Tyree perform there’s something for everyone.
Time magazine called Dan Zanes “the family music genre’s most outspoken advocate.” NPR referred to him as “the gold standard in family music.” Today the sounds are fresh, reimagined and perfectly suited to inspire the next generation.
